Who We Are

This website is operated by Dr. Andrey Laugman, a licensed clinical psychologist practising individually. Registered address and data controller details are provided in Section 10.

For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) — Regulation (EU) 2016/679 — Dr. Andrey Laugman is the data controller for personal data collected via this website.

If you have any questions about how your data is handled, contact us using the details in Section 10 before using the site.

02

Data We Collect

We collect personal data only when you actively provide it or when it is generated automatically by your use of the site.

Data you provide directly

  • Name and email address when you submit the contact or booking form
  • The content of any message or context you choose to share in the form
  • The qualifier option you select ("Where are you in this?") — used to route your enquiry appropriately

Data collected automatically

  • IP address and approximate geographic location (country/city level)
  • Browser type, device type and operating system
  • Pages visited, time on site and referral source — via privacy-compliant analytics only

We do not collect health or clinical data via this website. Any clinical material shared in sessions is governed by a separate clinical confidentiality agreement, not by this policy.

03

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used for the following purposes — and no others:

  • To respond to your enquiry — via email or the messaging method you specified
  • To schedule and confirm consultations — if you proceed to booking
  • To improve the website — using anonymised, aggregated analytics data only
  • To comply with legal obligations — including retention requirements under applicable EU law

We do not use your data for automated decision-making, profiling, or marketing communications.

04

Legal Basis for Processing

Under GDPR Article 6, we process your data on the following legal bases:

  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — when you submit the contact form, you consent to us processing your data to respond
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — for anonymised website analytics, where our interest does not override your rights
  • Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) — where retention is required by applicable law

You can withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing. See Section 7.

05

Storage & Retention

All personal data is stored on servers located within the European Union. No data is transferred to third countries outside the EEA without adequate safeguards.

We retain contact form data for a maximum of 12 months from the date of submission. After this period, it is permanently deleted unless a therapeutic relationship has commenced, in which case retention is governed by the clinical confidentiality agreement.

Anonymised analytics data has no fixed retention period as it contains no personal identifiers.

06

Third PartiesUpdated

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We share data with third parties only where strictly necessary:

  • Hosting provider — website infrastructure, EU-based, GDPR-compliant
  • Email service provider — for processing contact form submissions; data is not retained beyond delivery
  • Analytics provider — anonymised, cookieless analytics only; no personal data shared
  • Video conferencing — for session delivery only; governed by the clinical confidentiality agreement

All third-party processors are bound by data processing agreements compliant with GDPR Chapter V.

07

Your Rights Under GDPR

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

  • Right of access — to receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Right to rectification — to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Right to erasure — to request deletion where there is no legal basis for continued processing
  • Right to restriction — to limit how we process your data in certain circumstances
  • Right to data portability — to receive your data in a machine-readable format
  • Right to object — to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Right to withdraw consent — at any time, without affecting prior lawful processing

To exercise any right, contact us at the address in Section 10. We will respond within 30 days. If dissatisfied, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in your country of residence.

08

Cookies

This website uses a minimal set of cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or behavioural profiling.

  • Session cookie — a temporary cookie deleted when you close the browser; used for basic site functionality
  • Analytics — if analytics is active, it operates without cookies or personal identifiers

Full details are available in our Cookie Policy. You can manage cookie preferences via your browser settings at any time.

09
